Check the chart below for many cool season plants that can be directly seeded right now and into September. This is a very inclusive list of cool season plants that can be used now and next spring. I included two warm season plants on the chart - basil and New Zealand spinach, both can be seeded right now. 

Other warm-season plants that can go in right now are - summer squash, bush beans and cucumber.  Check the seed package for maturity days, look for shortest time 50-60 days.
